Laura’s primary medium for painting was acrylics. The first seven paintings date from the late 1970s and early 1980s, when Laura was on the faculty at Black Hills State College. Venus Moraine was produced during the late 1980s. The last five works were produced during the last decade of Laura’s life, when she lived in Miami.
