South Dakota, on I-90 near Spearfish. Funded by a grant from the South Dakota Arts Council with contributions from local farmers and ranchers. According to the artist, “The proportions of the structure (8:5) are based on the growth patterns of Brome wheat grass and the structure of alfalfa buds, which forms a helix shape.”
